Panchito Opening Tobacco Ceremony

Panchito, representing the Taino indigenous peoples of Cuba, with his daughter, Idalis, travelled from the Baracoa area to open the exhibition, Los Artistas Magos, in Camaguey with a traditional presentation and tobacco ceremony.

Curator Remarks and TV Interview

Over 300 people attended the opening of Los Artistas Magos in Camaguey Cuba. After the opening remarks and ceremony, the crowd poured into the gallery for the exhibition, sipping straight rum and viewing the works.

Artist James K-M was interviewed for this tv spot in Camaguey, with Sandra as translator. Also included is an interview in Spanish with curator Pavel Alejandro Barrios Sosa and Baracoa historian Alejandro Hartmann Matos.
